SS Rajamouli is a well known name in the south. The talented filmmaker rose to fame in Bollywood thanks to his dramatic directorial Telugu venture Eega which was translated in Hindi with the title Makkhi. Rajamouli Maryada Ramanna-another fine Telugu movie-was remade in Hindi as Son Of Sardaar And now Rajamouli is planning to take things to the stratospheric level. We hear that his next ambitious project would be a period drama set in the 8th century AD and will be called Bahubali.
The movie will feature Prabhas in the lead role. Rana Dagubbati will also be seen in this film. Rajamouli is quite ambitious about the project and wants to release it in three different languages-Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Bahubali is expected to be at par with Hollywood projects like Gladiator and 300.
Bahubali is being planned with an estimated budget of Rs 160 crore of which Rs 40 crore will be sent on special effects and digital imagery. The schedule of Bahubali will begin in the next month and the National award winning director is leaving no stone unturned to make his magnum opus a grand one!
