Meher Ramesh-Prabhas combine Telugu film Billa has created history by becoming the 4th consecutive hit remake of the 1978 Hindi original Don starring Amitabh Bachchan.

The first 3 remakes, Billa in Tamil, Farhan Akhtar’s Hindi Don – The Chase Begins and again in Telugu titled Billa were hits.

Telugu Billa has enhanced the star power of Prabhas as hero and Anushka as heroine and consolidated the position of Namitha as the most desirable sex bomb.

The debut of direction by Meher Ramesh was through Kantri featuring NTR Jr. He is also credited with introducing the bubbling beauty Hansika Motwani, who also appeared in an item number in the Telugu Billa.
